InboxGuard Privacy Policy

InboxGuard helps users analyze and improve email drafts while composing messages in Gmail.

Information processed

When a user chooses Write Email, the prompt they enter is sent to InboxGuard's secure backend and then to the OpenAI API to generate an email. Local analysis processes the subject and body inside the browser. InboxGuard does not read emails outside the compose window.

When a user explicitly starts the Voice assistant, microphone audio and up to the current Gmail draft are sent to ElevenLabs to provide the requested real-time voice conversation. Voice access does not begin automatically and stops when the user selects Stop or ends the session.

How information is used

Draft and prompt content is used only to provide the requested email analysis or generation. InboxGuard does not sell personal information, use email content for advertising, or send messages automatically.

Storage

InboxGuard does not operate a user database in this version and does not intentionally retain prompts or email drafts. AI requests use disabled response storage. Service providers may process limited operational and security data under their own policies.

Sharing

Content is shared only with service providers needed to deliver the requested feature: Vercel for secure backend hosting, OpenAI for AI email generation, and ElevenLabs when the user starts an interactive voice session.

Security

The OpenAI and ElevenLabs API keys are stored only in the secure backend environment and are never included in the Chrome extension. ElevenLabs sessions use temporary signed connection URLs.

User control

InboxGuard never sends an email. Users review and control all changes before sending and can stop processing by uninstalling the extension.
